If you want to do the actual crosses, we recommend using one of the following two bw; st stocks plus Canton-S as the wildtype stock:
You could also use stocks from the Dr Phil's Flightless Flies page. If you choose this path, order ap[56f] as the wildtype stock and ap[56f] bw[1]; st[1] as the bw; st stock.
Please note that, depending on how you run the lab, you may need to expand the cultures you get from us in order to have enough for your students.
