Philip Rock has developed a number of lines for demonstrating various genetic principles (sex linkage, segregation etc) in Drosophila. These stocks carry many mutations commonly used for teaching in combination with an apterous allele (ap[56f]) which renders the flies flightless. Theoretically, using these will result in fewer flies roaming around the building and showing up in your colleague's offices down the hall.

**Except the ap[56f] stock, the 'Genes" and 'Chr' columns ignore the presence of the apterous allele and list only the genes and chromosome locations for the nonapterous mutations.
