Pfeiffer et al. (2010) described the systematic construction of UAS-GFP transgenes with varying numbers of UAS repeats and different subcellular localization tags. In principle, this set of constructs allows stepped expression of GFP from any particular GAL4 driver.
The same group has produced lexA-GFP and lexA-GAL80 constructs as well as UAS constructs expressing the fluorochromes RFP, Eos, Tomato and Dronpa from same starting vector.
