1. Fly segmentation lab
This lab, developed by Y. Hiromi, teaches early development by examining the expression of ftz (a segmentation gene) in the presence of various mutations that affect early development.
2. Alleles of shibire and wingless for teaching
These lines can be used to teach concepts surrounding mutations, temperature-sensitive alleles and body patterning (shi can also be used to learn about neuronal synapses and endocytosis)
