Parkinson disease is a progressive neurological disorder resulting from the loss of dopaminergic neurons in the midbrain (largely in the substantia nigra). Symptoms include tremor, loss of balance and motor coordination, rigidity, and slowing of movements. Fly stocks in the Bloomington collection that can be used to study Parkinson disease are listed here.
